Getting more retail shots the Cottage Porch offers a nice variety of gifts. Here Duane uses the Glidecam to get a nice moving shot.

The police and fire department were very easy to work with in producing this video. Here Duane videotapes a police cruizer on beautiful Cass Street.

It is a tough day at the office when Duane goes out to Brookside Golf Course to capture more scenes for the video.

Greenville continues to grow with a grand opening of a new Arnie's Arts & Craft store. Duane uses the Glidecam Camera Stabilizer for some nice camera moves.

Here the Greenville family enjoys a picnic at the local park. Life is great in Greenville.

Putting together some last minute location scenes Kathy Jo contacted the good people at L’Image Salon for an on-location video shoot.

It never fails Radio Shack of Greenville invited us to videotape at their location saying the store was full of customers. By the time we arrived – the store was empty. So not to waste an opportunity production assistant Casey stepped in as a customer.

The same with the bike trail. It is used a lot but to make sure we had people Kathy Jo at the chamber talked fellow chamber director Candy to bringing her family and friends out for a good time on the trail.

When someone around this part of the country hears the name Fred Meijer we all know of the retail magnate and most know that Greenville is the birthplace of the multi-state chain. Kathy Jo from the Chamber, Casey and Duane had an opportunity to interview Fred at the corporate offices in Grand Rapids. The stories Fred has could fill many tapes. We just needed a sound bite that everything about Greenville encourages business growth – through the stories we got what we needed. Thanks Fred!

Having done a lot of aerial video work Duane gave production assistant Casey a chance to hone his videotaping skills from above. Here with Pilot Bruce we were able to get some awesome shots from the air. And yes the sides are down while shooting allowing the cameraman to lean out for some great shots. Yes, Casey’s seatbelt was on tight.

Sometimes you just need to get wet.

Duane has been known to do whatever it takes to ‘Get The Shot’. This time was no different – When videotaping some scenic shots for the ‘Greenville Video’ at Jackson’s Landing – Duane was ready to get an excellent point of view shot.

Working with Dan and Joe we captured some nice Grandpa – Grandson fishing shots. Hummm, is that a fish on line or has he caught the cameraman?

The Hostetler Family were champs! Discussing what was needed Duane sets the scene up for a couple of takes – a low angle just above the water line really has a nice appealing look to the shot and nothing like a up close and personal shot to capture the excitement - don't run over the cameraman!

The fun part of most projects is the actual 'on-location videotaping'. To promote a community to other potential businesses and industries we need to focus on the business climate and what it is like to live work and play. . . only minutes away, in Greenville.

At Newsweb Duane checks out the scene at the papers printing press. Showing off technology and people is what this video is going to highlight.

Time for play... Getting the low angle on the Mountain Bike Trail really adds impact to challenges this course really offers.
It takes a lot of teamwork to put a production like this one together.

What is a promo without royalty? Here Duane captutes a scene with the Queen and her court being interviewed by Maranda from TV8. Duane also shares the shot with friend and cameraman for TV 8 Dan Salas, while Casey captures a fun time at Greenville.

The Project: Promote and Market Greenville Michigan

Purpose: To bring new business to the area – create jobs and growth!

The Greenville, Michigan area came together with the Chamber, City Government and other agencies to promote growth. The main script for the video was written by Kathy Jo at the Greenville Chamber with DW Video’s scriptwriter Mark Brewster working as the editor.

To promote an area we are videotaping events, business and industry. The next few postings will follow the production process showing some the behind the scenes action as Producer/Director Duane Weed captures the sights and sounds of Greenville with the help of production assistant Casey Stormes.

Capturing video is done a number of ways. Here Duane captures a great golf shot using our camera crane. Telling a story includes involving the viewer. Using a number of shooting techniques does this – the crane is only one of these techniques. Some really cool shots!
