Demonstrate your product with video.

Bob and Susan Negen from WhizBang! Training recently sent me an email regarding their TIP #331 - Demonstrate Your Product. All of the tips are an excellent way to sell your product. Upon reading down the list of tips I began to visualize how video would aid the business owner/operator in selling products. Let be expand on their excellent thoughts.

Let me begin by stating, “Video is an ideal tool to demonstrate your products! And by placing the video on your website and the buy-local.us website you can have your very own sales tool running 24/7… telling your story to the world”.

Outstanding aroma? Give them a sniff.

With video the on camera customer(s) can through the action of sniffing and through expressions of words bring the point home that the product “smells like cool wind after a rain shower”.

Gorgeous texture? Put it in their hands.

Again with video the on-camera customer can feel the product and comment on the texture through showing and words to demonstrate ‘how smooth it feels’ for example.

Lovely color? Hold it up to the light.

Bingo – video shows the richness of color as the on-camera customer holds the product toward the camera.

Playability? Play it with them.

If a picture is worth a thousand words here is where video shines! Show people using your products. This sells the fun and enjoyment your product brings.

Unusual movement? Get it going.

Does it do something different? Through the power of video and in only a few seconds your prospect can see how your product moves.

Delicious taste? You sample, you sell!

What an excellent way to show on-camera customers eating and commenting on your product. Video Sells!

Silly sound? Let them hear it.

We are beyond the days of silent movies, video has audio and again in a very short demonstration your prospect can see how the product works, they can hear it as well.

A feature they can't see? Ask them try it out.

Ok, this on may be a bit harder to show however through the power of words the on-camera customer can invite them to stop in for a free demonstration on the feature they can see.

Incredible comfort? Get it on them.

Showing the on-camera customer using the product and how comfortable they look using it… this goes along way in educating the prospect on why you have a great product.

Super slipperiness? Let it slide.

Slippery when wet! Show it as the product slips and slides away. Seeing is believing and through video we can sell the benefits of your products.

Fizz, melt, float, or change color in water? Bring out the bucket.

Plop Plop Fizz Fizz – you can see and hear what happens when your product is mixed with water for example. By combining the visual with an excellent script the prospect learns in a short amount of time why your product is a must have.

Fly through the air? Let them toss it.

Video shows in a very short amount of time what happens when your product gets airborne. Showing people having fun with your product along with a strong call to action to get them into your place of business all combines in a successful sales presentation. Then it is up to you as the sales professional to make the sale.

Assembly required? Build it.

People learn 80% better by watching how a product is assembled. Video does this!

Demonstrating your product lets your customers feel what it would be like to own the item and makes purchasing it almost irresistible!
